A little piece of heaven

The weather has been so nice lately so Jake and I decided to go riding up Hobble Creek Canyon on Saturday. I was not a fan of the whole ride but we did find a trail that had the best views and was really fun to ride on. Jake is a huge fan of trails like this so he was off riding while I was taking pictures.

Like I said this is one of the best views

Any new person looking at this blog I do not have children. So if someone knows how to fix this problem feel free to let me know. Thanks!

something new

Now that we have figured out how to wakeboard Jake and I are trying to teach ourselves how to water ski. Water skiing is definitely a lot harder than it looks, I have a hard time moving around without my feet attached to the same board. Jake figured out how to drop a ski to slalom but now the water is getting to cold so I guess I we will have to figure it out next summer.

Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial weekend was a good one, I got a new 4wheeler so we went riding on Saturday and then went boating on Monday. I forgot my Camera on Saturday so I just have pics of our boating trip. The weather was nice but the water was a very cold 60 degrees but we were all very brave and got in anyway. After boating we went to my in laws house for a BBQ.

Europe

Sorry this post is so long I could not decide which pictures to put in and which ones to leave out. Jake and I went to France and Italy the first part of May and we had so much fun. Some of our favorite places we went were Rome, Florence, Pompeii and Paris. Some of our favorite things that we saw was the Colosseum, Vatican City (St. Peter's Basilica), and the ruins of Pompeii. Our Favorite Pizza we ate was in Pompeii, our favorite gelato was coconut gelato in Florence, one of my favorite pastas was in Pisa, and our favorite Crepe was not in Paris but in Rome with butter and sugar. There are so many good memories that I have of the trip and I am so grateful we were able to go over there.

I forgot the most important part!

For those of you who wanted to see the trophy Jake receivedAdd Image here it is in all its glory. (Matt it puts your trophy with spinners and flames to shame) What will they come up with next?

Mesquite race

Jake had a race in Mesquite this weekend and he did very well to start off the new season. He finished 1st in his class and 4th overall in the amateurs. His bike ran well other than the flat tire he did not know he had. The race was 15 mile loops that were full of sand but unfortunately these pictures are all in the sawdust section that they went through because they were by the pits. Overall it was alot of fun and the weather was perfect, 60 degrees with no snow!

Jake giving the usual update about the course.

Thanks Dave, Kathleen and Bekah for coming down and spending the weekend with us.
